Inaki Williams Scores Controversial Goal Against Barcelona For Athletic Bilbao But Disallowed

Inaki Williams, Ghana’s international for Athletic Bilbao who has been a trauma for the defense of FC Barcelona has again registered a stunning goal to bring consolation but VAR’s decision rules out the goal as offside.

Inaki Who remarkably been on form especially against FC Barcelona joined Oscar De Marcos in the disallowed goals of the day in their super copa semifinals.

Bilbao was down by 2:0 in the 80th minute where Oscar entered the net in the 81st but was disallowed.
However, Inaki Williams also grabbed a consolation in the 85th and was also disallowed.

Gavi gave the lead for FC Barcelona in the 17th minute with an assist from Balde as Lamine Yamal doubling the lead in the 52nd minute.

Inaki Williams speaking with the press after the 90 minutes said; “I think we dominated the first half. When you play against them, you know the level of danger you’re up against. They scored an early goal, and then playing against the tide became complicated.”

When you play against Barcelona, you know what you’re up against. We gave it our all and didn’t give up. We know they have a very strong defence. They didn’t create many chances but we have no choice but to learn from today and not give up.”
