Meet Cornelius Amoah, CEO Of Ghana’s Fastest Rising Football Academy – Cornelius Football Academy
As football takes outright lead in Ghana’s Sports Fraternity, It is expedient for personalities to take total control in nurturing the next generation. Once a footballer, who started his career at Agona Abodom(central Region) Cornelius Amoah maneuvered his ways through out challenges as young talent from less financially stables home.
At age of thirteen (13), He got aligned with a serious manager who was ready to offer any kind of help and hence traveling to the United Kingdom to pursue his dream.
Through the journey, The misfortune of football (Knee Injury) happened, deterring him to proceed his dream that season which he couldn’t recover again in a highly percentage for the pitch.
Fast forward at age nineteen (19), The manager still showed his support though he could not play.
“I couldn’t play but my Manager was still supportive so I had a good friend called Kingsley Owusu who happened to be a very good player too , so I made a very bold decision to transfer the money my manager supported me with to Kingsley since he was fit and also wasn’t having support. God being so good he had a chance to play at Ashanti Gold football club.”
My dream of nurturing talents happened when I Visited my sister in Accra and I chanced on Former Black stars player, John Paintsil having an exclusive training session with his boys (team) but there was one of them who wasn’t taking things serious aside being good so John Paintsil advise and caution to the player changed my mindset on how I can nurture others to make their dream come true. According to John Paintsil, The young player in picture should not joke because he doesn’t know what the could be and where in the world he would playing which his attitude could affect him”
This motivated him to start gathering some town boys who wanted to play and everything began. As a young boy trying to nurture the dream of others, It was tough so he travelled down to Takoradi in a village called Sofokrom to visit another Sister where he realized there were young talents who wasn’t getting the support.
In September 27,2021. He officially started Cornelius Football Academy at Sofokro – Takoradi after suffering several misfortunes financially and others.
