Ghanaian youngster and Southampton’s winger Kamaldeen Sulemana delivered an impressive performance in their Premier League clash against Manchester United, earning him praises from both Southampton and Manchester United’s manager Ivan Jurić and Ruben Amorim.
Sulemana was denied his first Premier League goal of the season by the quick reflex of United goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Having battled with injuries and lack of form for almost 18 months, Sulemana seems to have rediscovered the form that convinced Southampton to make him their record signing.
“Since I arrived here, he’s working well. I think he had quality. I don’t know why in these two years he didn’t express himself. Now he has to just continue playing like this, he’s really good,” said Juric after the game.
The Ghanaian international was a standout performer for the Saints, troubling United’s defense with his pace and skill throughout the match.
Speaking after the game , Amorim said: “A very difficult game. They did a very good job, Southampton, creating spaces between the lines. Their number 20 (Sulemana) had a lot of space behind, we had a hard time stopping that player.”
